Day at Marietta Square
A number of months ago, I set out to spend an entire day shooting at the Square in Marietta GA. After only a few short days of hunting for suitable models I luckily happened upon two very lovely ladies through both Model Mayhem and CraigsList. The day as a whole was quite an educational experience due to the stark contrast in lighting conditions when comparing the morning and afternoon shoots. But overall, each shoot provided quite a creative environment to work with and I was quite pleased with results.
Beittany was my first victim the day. The morning was delightfully cloudy leaving all my shots feeling as though I had one giant soft box at my disposal. She quickly gave me a run down on her history with modeling and simply did an excellent job during our time together.
The area around the square is riddled with all sorts of little nooks that are simply excellent locations for a portrait or two. I couldn’t help but take advantage of them with her.

Mattie Logan
When the afternoon rolled around that day, Mattie was my next lovely model. I have to say her energy as well as creative outspoken nature was truly an inspiration.
The shoot itself was loads of fun although the lighting during that time was immensely harsh when compared to that morning. I had to do a little extra compensation from a technical standpoint but I was still quite pleased with the results.
